Rain makes me unhappy. I can’t wear closed shoes, it’ll get wet and I don’t want that, I don’t want to wear slippers too, just the thought of my feet getting wet is unpleasant. Nevertheless, I still have to choose. Else, I’d have to walk barefooted… and I don’t want that.
Amazing how he came to mind as soon as I heard this. Maybe I should tell him this before … everything else happens.

For the guy who lets a girl take a taxi cab he hailed.
For the guy who offers a girl his seat on a train. Or asks another guy to give a girl a seat.
For the guy who holds a door open so she can enter or leave a room effortlessly.
For the guy who never forgets to say something optimistic (like compliments) just in case she needs it.
For the guy who knows just what she needs at times she is paranoid and insecure.
For the guy who ushers her drunk girl friends home and never take advantage of any kind.
For the guy who is fully aware that every right to plan something or cancel a plan is only hers, otherwise, it’s World War III.
For the guy who knows that 11 am sharp is 11 am sharp and understands that she doesn’t follow that rule by heart but mandates it.
For the guy who cuts classes or a project meeting to go shopping with her or take walks for hours just so she can decide whether to get a new dress… or not.
For the guy who goes out at night to buy cell phone load so that she can reply “good evening too ” to that somebody she has a crush on for years.
For the guy serene and appreciative enough to listen to the stories she tell even if he’s already heard it for the nth time.
For the guy who can stand her ego.
For the guy who befriends a girl because he wants to be friends and that’s it.
So, girls, if you know somebody who is one of the good guys am talking about or happen to bump into one later, tomorrow, next week, next month, etc, don’t forget to give them a toast.
They need to be rewarded. The world needs more of your kind. Thank you! *toast* :P
You know what they say how it’s so easy to forgive an enemy and so difficult to forgive a friend? True. A friend is your closest thing to heaven. There will always be times when your relationship is challenged. When worst comes and you have no idea of putting everything in place again, don’t leave, just “be there”. It’s the most unselfish act you can do for somebody you truly care about.
By ”being there”, I meant letting go and allowing them to walk alone, put together and mold their own destinies.
At times like this, don’t say goodbye, say, “I’ll be here..” not for ‘pity’ reasons, but for reasons that no matter what happens, you’ve been a part of each other’s lives.
I know it will take time before the right moment comes and you are ready to pick up the pieces. But when that right moment comes… you would be sure and you’d feel it inside you that everything is finally okay.
So, just be there.
I’ve met so many people on my way here. I’ve been away from my usual circle and only God knows how much I miss these people, and more notably, who these people are. Though, I think “people” is a strong plural word but let’s just leave it that way. Yes, and although it’s quite sad I had to move away, I now see it as the best approach to seeing who my real set of best friends are. Some would say they miss you and that’s it, some would say they miss you and really find time to call you, leave you a wall post, a tweet or just anything they can to reach you even in the tiniest way ever. Some are really busy but at the time you really need help, they are to the rescue without faltering. When I moved away, I saw things clearer. And that’s that.
